Enjoy some Evil genius pranks. And when you're done, be sure to visit Villain Supply.

Thu, 27 Jun 2002

Well, I've upgraded everything. Due to the Apache HTTP chunking exploit posted by some fool on bugtraq, I've upgraded to Apache 1.3.26. But was that enough? No, ISS posted an advisory on a OpenSSH pre-auth remote root exploit which meant massive upgrades of everything to OpenSSH 3.4p1.

You think that would be enough, but nooo, I had to press my luck. I'm upgrading Apache anyway, right? I may as well upgrade to mod_ssl 2.8.10 and php 4.2.1. Boom. Postnuke does not suffer PHP 4.2.1 well, it seems.

Well, 2 days later, both Wizdom and my blog are back up and running again.
